Updating an existing version of CCC version 3

Especially if you have backup tasks scheduled within CCC, we recommend that you update CCC via its built-in update mechanism. Carbon Copy Cloner version 2 is provided for users running older versions of Mac OS X, specifically Mac OS X 10.2 and 10.3. This version is not supported on or recommended for versions of Mac OS X later than 10.3.

Upgrading Carbon Copy Cloner from version 2.3 to version 3.x

Before upgrading from CCC 2.3 to version 3, delete any scheduled tasks in CCC 2.3, then drag the application to the trash. The first time you launch CCC 3, any old preferences will automatically be updated.
